It seems I am behind the curve here, but I just spent some real time, for the first time, walking through canalside in Downtown Buffalo. I'll let my photos do the talking.

Pokemon GO - Insanity has struck WNY

     So the hot topic this week, and for a long time going forward likely, is Pokemon GO. This game has gotten more people off the couch that needed a walk, in the history of gaming, ever. I see more people walking around that likely haven't seen sunlight in 10 years, taking exceptionally long walks now. People meet up at monuments, read the monuments descriptions, learn things. Yeah, people will abuse it and be stupid with it, but this is a real force of good. People getting exercise, playing games, seeing the outside of their house, and meeting new people. That's what it's all about.

     What amazes me most is the age ranges I have seen. People from the ages of 6 to 60 appear to want to "Catch them all". This, being a huge part of my own childhood, warms my heart. I put both my children on the Pokemon path years ago, and now they cant get enough of the cards and helping daddy find those AR Pokemon.

     Even local businesses are reporting a boost in traffic, especially those near gyms and pokestops, so overall, I think this is a good thing. As with everything though, in moderation.

Just made Blogger my new home

Well, it looks like I am moving my blog over from Wordpress to Blogger, as Wordpress and Google Domains don't get along. The import over went ok, but Blogger does not adjust photos to fit in the post area. I have corrected a bunch of my recent posts, but I feel this is going to take a while to completely bring everything over. The photo's aren't even hard linked to blogger, they are still linked to the Wordpress. I was getting sick of Wordpress charging me for everything, including mapping a domain I already owned. Anywhoo, that's it for now.
